20 Things I Wish They Taught Me in College Before Starting My Own Business

I wouldn’t have traded my college experience at UCLA for anything in the world. I loved it. What college didn’t do, is prepare me for entrepreneurship, at least not then. Many universities now offer courses on starting your own business, but in my humble opinion, reading case studies is not the same as being taught by the person who actually lived the experience. I was a guest lecturer at Glendale Community College for Professor Reid Denham’s Businesses Intro class and I had the pleasure of sharing what I call the “20 Things I Wish They Taught Me in College Before

PJ Paul Argueta Jr at Eagle Rock Music Festival 2008

I grew up in Highland Park and attended Eagle Rock High School. I love both towns. The Eagle Rock Music Festival has become well known in the North East Los Angeles area. The website says it has been going strong for almost 20 years, but prior to 2008 I didn’t really know about, and I’d consider myself a local. Either way, the festival is a wonderful mix of food, music, and commerce that enables the business owners on Colorado Blvd. and it’s side streets the opportunities to connect with it’s community. That’s not what this video is about. This video

Ariel & Bryannah on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride

Ariel is our eldest child and Bryannah is our youngest daughter. These two are the roses in our family garden. I wasn’t able to use my GoPro clamp so I manually held the camera the whole time. I sat in the car in front of them and just hoped that I’d be able to capture their expressions on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride in the Magical Kingdom. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing these two smile. The ride is very similar to the Thunder Mountain ride with the Snow White theme and the CG dwarfs. It’s a little

Paul Sr & Jr on Expedition Everest Animal Kingdom

We love our 12 year old son “PJ”. He is a big boy. At 12 he is a size 11 in mens shoes and probably weighs about 150 lbs. Because of his size, I sometimes forget how young he is and am hard on my little man. This video is special to me because it captures the special and playful relationship I have with him as we ride the Expedition Everest ride in Disney World Animal Kingdom.

Maverick’s Brave Face on Test Track Disneyworld Epcot

I clipped my GoPro 5 to the dash bar and what I captured was our youngest son Maverick’s first time on the ride and his best “brave” face. Disney’s Test Track by Chevrolet is very similar to the Cars ride in California adventure just themed differently. Rumors have it that Test Track will eventually become Tron themed.

Photos with Kylo Ren at Hollywood Studios Launch Bay

Our family loves taking pictures with Disney characters. The funny thing about this video is how Kylo Ren stayed in character from the moment we walked into the photo set. He was brooding and serious. It caught us off guard. This wasn’t someone in a Kylo Ren costume, this was someone embodying the spirit of Kylo Ren, and my son and I didn’t know how to respond. Our little Maverick was frozen in confusion and maybe even a little in fear. It was funny, and more importantly, it was an experience we will not forget. That’s what Disney does better

Argueta Family on The Flight of Passage Ride

Rarely have we walked out of a ride completely mind blown, and calling it a ride probably doesn’t do it justice. This isn’t a ride-it’s an experience. I don’t want to spoil the experience for anyone who hasn’t been on the ride, so I created this video that captures my family of 7 riding it. I got my 3 children to the right: Maverick, Bryannah, and Ariel and my wife, Tamara, and Sebas to my left. You can see our entire family on the ride and their experience. Enjoy!

Becoming an Avatar Disneyworld Animal Kingdom

Time lapsed video of my wife Tami getting her face painted as an Avatar in the Kingdom of Pandora in the Animal Kingdom theme park of Disney World during our Spring Break 2018 Disney World vacation. The artist was very good. The whole process took about 10 minutes and the results were amazing. My wife makes for a beautiful Na’vi.

Thunder Mountain Disneyworld Epcot

This is one of many clips of our Argueta Disneyworld 2018 vacation. I held my GoPro 5 and what I captured was our eldest son Sebastian “Sēbas” and our youngest son Maverick’s on this ride. The love I have for each other and their reactions was priceless.

Santa’s Secret Cam Argueta Family Christmas Morning

In our family we essentially have two celebrations. We celebrate with a family dinner on Christmas Eve (December 24th) with our extended families and open gifts. We are supposed to wait until midnight, but truth be told, by 9PM-gifts are exchanged. On Christmas Morning, Santa visits. He doesn’t wrap the gifts for the little Argueta girls and boys, and instead leaves gifts for each girl and boy who somehow magically know which one is for them.

Maverick’s 6th Birthday Cars 3 Party at El Capitan

Our youngest son Maverick is a Pixar Cars fanatic. This was our second time hosting a birthday party at El Capitan in Hollywood. Our first time was for Bryannah’s Moana themed 10th birthday there, and believe you me, Disney / El Capitan didn’t offer any incentives or discounts for return customers. Just goes to show that when you have a product or service and the quality exceeds that of your competitors-you don’t have to discount prices. Disney certainly doesn’t. Want More? Visit the photo gallery of this event! Either way, we did have a great time and Maverick felt very

The Argueta Family Season 1 Episode 3

In this episode there is some in office hijinks, some on the job training, a private evening engagement for Disney Vacation Club members at Disneyland, a motivational retreat with my kids to hear the Hip Hop Preacher Eric Thomas, and basketball. Right around 21:45 I drop my GoPro camera on the Buzz Lighthear Astro Blasters ride which had to be shut down temporarily while they looked for my camera. I only shared the footage of the Disney Attendant hunting the camera down and bringing it back to me, but the camera recorded about 45 minutes of darkness and sounds from

The Argueta Family Season 1 Episode 1

After being interviewed by a few reality real estate TV shows that suggested I make myself more animated or act like something I’m not, I decided we’d put out our own content. Raising a family of 7 in Los Angeles isn’t easy.  We make it look easier than it really is. I’m peeling back the curtains to reveal the victories, the losses, the drama, and the fun.

Bryannah’s “Best Bear” Presentation at KL Carver Elementary

My 6 yr old daughter Bryannah had to complete her “Best Bear” presentation in front of her class with the assistance of her amazing Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Denham.
