Von Miller Went From Chasing Chickens to Chasing NFL Quarterbacks

Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller went from chasing chickens to chasing NFL QBs.

Miller grew up in Dallas to parents who were both athletes. Miller had to hide playing football to his father. His mother would bury his pads underneath things in the back of the car. His mother would pick him up from practice and have him change in the car on the way home from school.

It wasn’t until his championship game until his father knew. Miller went on to play football at Texas A&M immediately catching the attention of NFL scouts.

Meanwhile, most NFL superstars who attend college major in traditional subjects. Miller did other wise.

NFL superstar linebacker Von Miller majored in poultry farming at Texas A&M.

Miller had become a top-shelf NFL linebacker for the Denver Broncos. Last year, the Broncos went on to win the super bowl and it’s only fitting Miller was involved in a key moment in the final play of the game, sealing the Bronco’s first super bowl win since the John Elway era.

Just last weekend, Miller signed a deal making him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

When news spread of Miller’s record-breaking deal, NFL players and the man who led the Broncos to their last super bowl win all had something to say:

Miller himself voiced his own excitement:

With the loss of Peyton Manning to the inevitable, Miller and the Broncos look to continue their success in training camp on July 28.
